Wayne Denton first took up playing the guitar many years ago after being inspired by the singing and song writing talents of the late, great, John Denver.

Denver was in his prime in the early seventies and Wayne says it was the admiration he felt for the singer back then that influenced his own successful career.

With the growth of tribute shows over the last few years, Wayne quickly saw this as a chance to combine his love of performing, with the musical magic of his idol, John Denver.

“Country Roads - A Celebration of John Denver” consists of Wayne performing as the much-loved and greatly missed John Denver, along with harmonies from female vocalist Jaime Lovett and a live band led by guitarist Phil Walker.

The show was very much in its planning stage before Denver’s untimely death and now ten years on from this tragic event ‘Country Roads’ represents not only a way of keeping John Denver's music alive but also a way of paying tribute to one of the greatest song writers and performers country music has ever known.

Together with his own band, Wayne takes the audience on a memorable journey through the extensive John Denver songbook... this is a presentation that will lift the hearts of all country music lovers everywhere.
